Logica in India draws upon a long history of providing IT services for clients, tracing its roots back to the acquisition of Synectics, a financial products company established in Bangalore in 1996. Part of the dynamic offshore IT services industry, Logica in India has a growing team of over 3000 people. It provides the full spectrum of systems integration and outsourcing services, including System Design, Applications and Product Development, Applications Management, Infrastructure Management (IM) and Business Process Outsourcing (BPO).

Particular areas of expertise include SAP Services and Managed Testing in the Systems Integration / Application Management area, Remote Infrastructure Management  in the Infrastructure Management area , and Finance and Procurement services in the BPO area.

Our India operation serves clients across Europe, Asia, US and Australia, using Logica’s blended delivery model to provide the best combination of onshore and offshore resources to meet the needs of each contract. It is also one of the company's key centres for technical innovation and increasingly provides services to clients in India. Using our technical and domain expertise, we help clients through complex transformation projects that deliver return on investment and true competitive advantage.

In India, Logica offers solutions for companies in Banking and Finance, as well as in the Energy & Utilities and Telecom sectors. Our highly skilled and focused staff offers 24x7 support to over 80 customers in the country. In the Financial Sector, among other services, we provide mission critical support as well as market leading payment hub and liquidity management solutions – a Logica (India) IPR. It supports both high value and low value payments in India.

Real Time Gross Settlement (RTGS) for Reserve Bank of India (RBI)   Every day inter-banking systems process millions of transactions involving large fund transfers. A secure and stable domestic payments system is key to the financial stability of any country. RBI, the central bank of India, took the initiative to provide the infrastructure for such a payments system. A global standard for managing fund transfers, RTGS reduces risks and boosts investor confidence, apart from helping companies manage their working capital requirements more effectively. RBI chose Logica to deploy the new high value payments system in the country, a new core banking system for the RBI and Logica’s Questor product suite for 205 participating banks and financial institutions, including private, public, foreign and co-operative banks.

Besides two offices in Bangalore, Logica also has offices in Mumbai and Chennai. The state-of-the-art centre at Technopolis, close to the HAL Airport in Bangalore offers many employee-friendly facilities.

The operation is accredited as compliant to ISO 9001:2000, SEI-CMMI Level 5, PCMM level 3, ISO 27001:2005 and TickIT standards. It is the primary offshore development facility for the group.
