LogicaCMG signs agreement with Moroccan Government to strengthen its presence in Rabat and Casablanca
LogicaCMG, a major international force in IT and business services, has signed an important agreement with the Moroccan Prime Minister and the Minister of Industry and Commerce regarding the development of its global IT service delivery capabilities in Morocco. At the signing ceremony in Rabat, LogicaCMG was represented by Jean-Bernard Rodriguez and Mohamed Lakhlifi.
Under the agreement, LogicaCMG will move existing Moroccan operations into the 4000 sq. m facilities in Casashore and the Rabat Technopolis in 2008. These zones have been created for the development of offshore services and will include the latest in high performance telecommunication, along with current transport and training facilities. An important provision allows for training grants for new graduate recruits and some tax benefits.
Today, LogicaCMG has the largest offshore IT service centre in Morocco. It currently employees 170 people at its two centres in Rabat and Casablanca. The workforce will expand to 220 employees by the end of 2007, a move which will improve LogicaCMG’s strong position in the Moroccan market.
