So, when Volvo Aero searched for a solution that could increase efficiency and accuracy in their goods handling processes, they came to us. Traceability had to be built into the solution. We designed a solution for hand-held terminals with scanning based on SAP mobile technology together with other scanning technologies and development of bar code labels.

Volvo Aero has since increased accuracy in capturing parts identities and encounters fewer errors in the traceability chain. Efficiency in goods handling processes has been improved through automatic data capture and mobility. For example, this has made it possible for warehouse workers to perform process activities directly in the warehouse, needing to put in less effort for entering data.

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has a variety of requirements that apply to post-market distribution to ensure products can be identified and traced back.
