Logica in ten: people
People satisfaction was up by 5% and engagement up 4% in Logica People Survey, as at January 2012 (based on 30,698 responses).
- People satisfaction in our 2011 Annual Survey was up by 5% overall. Over 75% of our people responded to the survey.
- In their responses to our 2011 People Survey, 12% more than last year felt that we produced excellent results for our clients through sustained team work.
- Around 15% of our people received a “Diamond Award” in 2011. Diamond Awards are intended to recognise and reward excellence at every level of the organisation.
- Our people consumed 180,000 hours of training through the Logica University in 2011. In addition to ethics, sustainability and information security training, technical skills around ITIL v3 and PRINCE2 were most in demand.
- Smart working is helping our people respond to clients better and contributing to an improvement in work-life balance. An award winning intranet is also a useful tool in helping our people work better.
- We attracted around 6,500 new joiners to Logica in 2011 and made our 5,000th hire in India.
- The number of people leaving was also stable at around 13%.
- Our people filed 16 new patents on behalf of Logica this year – adding them in the areas as diverse as mobile applications, emissions monitoring, smart cards, intelligent transport, wireless networking, location based services, machine to machine, internet search and insurance.
- 1,200 new employees in Spain and LATAM joined Logica through our acquisition of Gesfor in May 2011.
- Our ‘6 Leadership Essentials’, the six skills and attributes we work to equip all our leaders with, provided managers with greater self-awareness and understanding of the right learning solution to meet their needs.
