LogicaCMG and Philips to form strategic partnership in software products

Amstelveen - Today LogicaCMG and Philips Applied Technologies of The Netherlands announce that they have signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) to form a strategic partnership in software products.

Philips Applied Technologies’ main activities within Philips include the development, integration, maintenance and support of embedded software for Philips products. Through this partnership LogicaCMG will offer maintenance, support and release services of the software to the joint customers of both organizations. By combining LogicaCMG’s strong position in application management for mature software with Philips Applied Technologies' strong technology base for first-of-a-kind system integration, the partnership will be able to offer joint value propositions that cover the lifecycle of the software products.

As part of this partnership, 35 people will be transferred from Philips Applied Technologies to LogicaCMG.

Mr Geo van der Wilk, managing director IDT of LogicaCMG Netherlands stated: "This strategic partnership will not only strengthen LogicaCMG’s position in the industry sector, but will also expand our expertise in embedded software. The partnership will be conditional to regulatory approvals and is expected to start January 1st 2007.
