Corporate Responsibility Report 2011
Logica in ten
- In 2011 we began building stronger client
relations through contributing to our
client’s CR agendas. This contributed to
our corporate responsibility efforts being
recognised as the fourth highest attribute,
from the 17 questions asked in our Client Satisfaction Survey.
- Future Proof - our internal
communications campaign to raise
awareness of our CR programme -
captured our people’s attention in a
number of markets and contributed to a
7% increase in the response to “Logica
takes its responsibility to the environment
and the community seriously” in the
Logica People Survey.
- Increased market recognition for CR
achievements with entry to the Dow
Jones Sustainability Index, our fourth
consecutive year in the Carbon Disclosure
Project’s Leadership Index and an
improved position in the Global 100 most
sustainable companies listing.
- We were recognised as a leader in
Verdantix ‘Green Quadrant Technology
Services 2012 report’ thanks to offering
the widest and deepest set of capabilities
and providing the most integrated and
holistic set of sustainability services to
buyers.
- A stronger approach to environmental
management through integrating our
governance with finance, the roll out of a
global reporting tool, limited assurance on
our scope 1 & 2 data and a clear pathway
to delivering against our long-term carbon
reduction targets.
- A stronger governance structure in place
across our 7 largest businesses, with
CR Executive Sponsors from country
management teams providing leadership
to their local programmes, a structure
now being replicated across the group.
- A global approach to volunteering was
established, supported by the roll out of
a global volunteer platform, matching
people to local volunteer opportunities.
Our total community contributions,
including Corporate Donations, Employee
Donations, monetary value of employee
time donated through volunteering
in 2011 exceeded £1m. In 2011 we
increased employee volunteering from
3% to 7% of the Logica population.
- Board level commitment for a more
robust approach to diversity and
inclusivity, with the initial focus being
on gender diversity. 93% of our people
believe it’s important Logica supports an
inclusive work environment.
- Our people’s satisfaction with their worklife
balance increased from 59% to 63%
as we rolled our smart-working policy
out beyond the UK to the Netherlands,
France, Finland, Germany and the US.
- We are continuing to work with our
key partners and suppliers to promote
sustainability throughout our supply chain
both in terms of ensuring compliance
with ethical practices and promoting
environmental awareness. Tackling issues
such as energy efficiency helps us to
support the green agenda and reduces
the total cost of ownership for us and our
clients.
