What the client needed
In order to stay ahead of the competition in the rapidly changing telecoms sector, this leading operator
required an end-to-end system that would open the door for greater collaboration.
THE CHALLENGE
In the past two years, the telecoms industry has changed massively. Gone is the old idea of setting
up services in separate ‘walled gardens’, supported by complex closed systems. Now the move is
to open, lasting systems. Companies that were once rivals can be partners. Working together is the
only way operators can innovate and deliver the new services that users demand.
OUR ANSWER
As a first step, we worked together on the business case, highlighting the benefits of bundling
together messaging and collaborative services with broadband Internet access and mobile data
access. A single offering to attract business across many channels.
A SUCCESS STORY
The new bundled service has now been rolled out to several of the operating companies within the
telecoms group. It means the cost of building the Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform is shared.
The total cost of ownership (TCO ) is also lower the more clients the company has.
