Logica at Key Events

Logica has participated in wide-ranging international forums and events where it has presented its thought leadership. Some of the events are:

  • The INK Conference 2011
    Logica participated in the INK Conference, in association with TED. The theme of INK2011 was ‘Power of the Journey’. GBS Bindra, Logica’s Global Innovation Director spoke on the need to decarbonise this world so as not to inflict further damage to our planet.   • PICNIC Festival 2011
    Logica participated in the global PICNIC event 2011 from 14th to 16th September at NDSM Wharf in Amsterdam, NL. This three-day event brought together people from diverse backgrounds to exchange ideas and insights and to expose themselves to ideas outside their own area of expertise.

    Logica was one of the sponsors of the event that had 5000+ visitors from 33 countries, 250+ journalists, 170+ speakers for 140+ sessions, 70 media/content/service and event partners and 8 new PICNIC Business Club members.

    Smart Cities & Urban Futures, the theme of PICNIC, matched Logica’s vision and projects on the topic of sustainability and innovation. Logica’s Sustainability lead Wim Wendt spoke on sustainability and innovation during the breakfast session organised for 26 of our key clients.

  • Ratkaisu - “Change management in times of transition”, January 2010
    The 2010 event of the annual Ratkaisu, was held at Helsinki in January. This one-day event is Finland's biggest IT event and seminar, where experts from different businesses and service-oriented industries discuss the possibilities of implementation, results and improvement in IT projects. The event was organised by us, in collaboration with our partners including IBM, Oracle and Microsoft.

    More than 40 sessions of discussions and debates took place during the programme. Projects that were helping businesses prepare for economic challenges and make a difference, were also highlighted. There were a number of keynote presentations made on various topics as well, such as the economic challenges of a knowledge-intensive network, consumer behaviour change and network generation.

    GBS Bindra, Global Innovation Director, Logica, spoke on “Connected Vehicles – Opportunities for New Business Models in Motor Insurance”.

  • TRANSFORM 10 - The annual conference, Transform10, was held in April 2010, in The Netherlands. The event was attended by 170 delegates from all over the world, as they showcased and discussed the latest innovations and challenges. The keynote address was delivered by GBS Bindra, Global Innovation Director, Logica.

  • Carbon Economy Summit, 2009 - Logica presented its innovative solution Logica EMO at the Carbon Economy Summit held in Washington DC, on November 18, 2009. Logica EMO was selected as one of Top-Ten game changing solutions by The Economist.

  • Doing Business in India: The Next Wave, 2009 - A series of executive forums focused on doing business in India was hosted by Financial Times and HSBC. Logica participated in the Abu Dhabi-based event held on 7 October 2009.
  • 16th ITS World Congress, 2009 - Logica participated in the 16th ITS World Congress, in Stockholm, in September 2009. It was the lead sponsor of the event.
  • Forum NetExplorateur 2009- GBS Bindra, Global Innovation Director Logica, at Forum NetExplorateur talks about consumers driving and demanding innovation.

  • Business for the Environment Global Summit, 2009 – Logica participated in the B4E09 global summit held at Paris, in April 2009. Participants discussed the possibilities of new business models that were user-based than ownership-based. Leaders talked about how there was a growing need to encourage sustainability values among businesses and social organisations. This could help in bridging the gap between developed and developing countries, and would encourage lower carbon usage.

  • World Investment Conference, 2008 - Logica participated in the 6th World Investment Conference held in La Baule, June 2008. GBS Bindra, Global Innovation Director, Logica, discussed the growing importance and role of creative industries in the changing global economy.
