ITS Europe 2011 Logica Demonstrations

We are delighted to be demonstrating some of our key projects and innovations on stand D160, including:

SPITS

  • Strategic Platform for Intelligent Traffic Systems, an open, scalable, real-time, distributed, sustainable, secure and affordable platform for cooperative ITS applications, evolving from existing infotainment systems.
  • This will be demonstrated with 3 ITS back office demos; software deployment, app store, mandatory app all showing the range of capabilities this system offers.

Electric Vehicles

  • Logica CiMS - Chargepoint interactive Management System is our innovative solution that supports the infrastructure for intelligent charging points for electric vehicles.
  • The Demo will consist of a mobile device connected to the battery management system and to our charge station map to show the status of the battery and all available charge stations.

Enforcement

  • Logica is an independent auditor and technical consultant to National Highway Authorities within two national free-flow tolling schemes, in Czech and Slovak Republic. The main task of Logica is to control the toll scheme performance via set of SLA parameters. Logica operates own roadside reference system and traffic data evaluation center allowing to verify the capture rate of tolling transactions generated by Toll Providers. The results of such verification are than reflected in the remuneration of Toll providers.
  • This demonstration will focus on Logica's roadside reference measurement used for independent auditing service in the Slovak tolling scheme and its potential for further Road User Charging projects.

EPTIMS - Empowered Personal Travel Itinerary Monitoring Service

  • Our service allows someone to plan their multi-modal public transport journey and have it monitored. Any disruptions on their journey are observed in real time and alerts sent to the traveller’s mobile if they’re going to miss their connection or arrive late. They can then re-plan their journey from the phone using the latest real-time information.
  • Users are kept informed before and during their journey and are empowered to do something about any delays that occur. The service provides reassurance for those who aren’t familiar or comfortable using public transport.

Mobility Management - Appear Networks MTR

  • MTR Stockholm is responsible for the running, planning and maintenance of the Stockholm underground train system and is working with Appear and Logica to do this by providing better information to staff in real-time, using advanced mobile technology.
  • The core technology behind MTR Stockholm’s deployment of a mobile workforce solution is the Appear IQ mobile platform, a powerful software infrastructure used to efficiently develop and manage context-aware workforce services.

Innovation - EMO

  • EMO Is a safe, efficient and reliable system that wirelessly monitors and reports the carbon footprint of a vehicle in real-time. It feeds back on driving style and helps to improve fuel efficiency and reduce carbon footprint.

Innovation - Logica’s Intelligent Freight and Transportation Solution (LIFT)

  • LIFT provides advanced, real-time information about the exact location and status of your goods, while they are on the move. It not only takes care of cargo containers but also goods inside them.

Innovation - Crimson - Our pay as you drive system

  • Crimson seamlessly integrates with your insurance application and calculates premium in real-time, based on distance, time and speed. It uses a unique device fitted to the vehicle. This device captures the vehicle usage information and transmits it to a Crimson back-end application using GSM technology.
