About CIFAS
CIFAS is the UK’s Fraud Prevention Service, dedicated to the prevention of financial crime and staff fraud. A not-for-profit membership association, the client is accessed by more than 260 financial organisations, primarily from the UK
What CIFAS needed
CIFAS required a robust database system that could support and render all these activities faster, and in real-time. One that could be securely assessed by all CIFAS Members and Agencies. The new system needed to be technically advanced to ensure accuracy, and also scalable to meet future requirements.
The Challenge
The client’s existing system could not keep up with the fast-changing advancements in technology that fraudsters had begun resorting to.
The present system was also not scalable, which was a problem given the growing strength of the organisation’s size. The system was also not up-to-speed in response.
It needed to be able to provide instant, real-time information on frauds, and be securely accessible by members, independently.
Their existing system could not provide them with these features, which in turn was affecting the performance and effectiveness of the organisation.
Our Answer
The system was not only fast but also intuitive and simple to utilise. It offered a comprehensive set of web service interfaces that could be easily accessed and used by all CIFAS Members and Agencies.
It was scalable in nature as well to meet the future needs of the company. We also enhanced their existing data systems by allowing access to separate fraud-related data within the same systems.
A Success story
CIFAS was now able to optimise resources, and manage operations with better productivity. Our solution enhanced the security of their highly sensitive data and had a faster response time compared to their old system.
It allowed secured data-sharing by CIFAS members, enabling them to access information online instantly in real-time, anytime. The new services thus increased the efficiency with which members could investigate frauds and record new frauds.
