Logica launches competition to find innovative partners
Logica, a leading technology and business service company, is looking to partner with the world’s most innovative enterprises. It has kicked off its 2011 Global Innovation Venture Partner (GIVP) Programme to search for the company with the most innovative products and solutions.
Now in its fourth year, the GIVP Programme invites nominations from across seven countries – UK, France, Netherlands, Sweden, Finland, Portugal and India. Nominated companies will be judged by a Logica panel and the winner will work with Logica to take these solutions to our clients as part of a bigger value offering. It will get access to Logica’s global sales resources, go-to-market support and opportunities to engage with client organisations where appropriate.
Speaking about the competition, GBS Bindra, Global Innovation Director, Logica said, "Our GIVP Programme has been instrumental in helping us identify and partner with companies with ahead-of-the-curve solutions that generate competitive value-add for our clients. As a company committed to building good and sustainable eco-systems, we see this programme as an important initiative through which we identify new partners. I very much look forward to the new innovation partner that this year’s programme will uncover."
GIVP Programme 2010 attracted more than 500 nominations from nine countries. Eight country winners and one global winner were identified as Logica’s innovation partners. The global winner for 2010 was a Swedish company - Eurostep, which has an impressive Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Secure Collaboration product.
Commenting on the benefits of the partnership, Håkan Kårdén, CEO, Eurostep said, “Winning the GIVP Award was important for many reasons. Firstly, ending up number one in such strong competition confirmed to us that our software is innovative. Secondly, it added credibility to us in selling the Share-A-space software to “pragmatic buyers”. Those demanding clients are looking for confirmation that innovative technology is mature enough and solving real business problems. They also look to deploy technology, embraced and supported by large companies such as Logica. Finally, the award has proven to be an enabler for a close relationship with Logica globally. A joint team is now in place to build on the GIVP award and with the commitment demonstrated by Logica following the award, it is clear that they are looking to build significant and long term business based on our very competitive and innovative value proposition.”
Nominations close on March 18th 2011. To nominate a company please go to GIVP Programme 2011. The global winner will be announced in May 2011.
