Logica launches Fusion Factory helping to speed the delivery of customised software applications
Platform-as-a-service solution lets customers take advantage of rapidly changing commercial opportunities
Logica, one of the world’s leading business and technology service companies today released Logica “Fusion Factory” a new platform-as-a-service (PaaS) solution designed to bring bespoke application development projects to market faster than ever before.
Logica’s Fusion Factory draws on the capabilities of Oracle Fusion Middleware and the experience of Logica’s consultancy, systems integration and hosting services. Customers are able to work directly with Logica’s Fusion Factory experts to bring applications to market in a matter of days, rather than weeks. The pre-tested, pre-integrated middleware PaaS helps ensure companies can start developing business applications without configuring and integrating the various middleware elements and development frameworks required with other solutions.
“Market readiness is the key here,” said Georges Abou Harb, Global Future IT Leader at Logica. “From discussions with our partners and customers we know that in-house development teams often struggle to deliver software on time and on budget. In the past this has stalled projects and even led to companies losing out on business to more agile competitors. Now they need not worry. Logica’s Fusion Factory will allow our customers to deploy environments quickly.”
“Logica Fusion Factory can help customers rapidly implement Oracle SOA Suite and Oracle Fusion Middleware, enabling them to deploy solutions faster and gain a competitive edge”, said Andrew Sutherland, Senior Vice President Technology, Oracle EMEA.
Fusion Factory is a PaaS offering based on Oracle Fusion Middleware, including Oracle SOA Suite 11g. The platform runs on the Logica Private Cloud (LPC) or on the customer’s infrastructure. The structure aligns with Logica’s reference architecture for SOA, maintained by the Global SOA Tech Practice that aligns with Logica’s framework for SOA development and governance. The new PaaS solution will also enable customers to get more value from Oracle Fusion Middleware.
Logica is a Platinum member of Oracle PartnerNetwork.
