As consumers, we depend on our smart phone and tablet to give us actionable information
wherever we are and whenever we need it. This needs to carry over to our work environment
where the benefits can be tangible for business. SAP has made substantial strategic investments
to support this need for mobile access to corporate systems and information. They acquired
Sybase in January 2011 taking another huge step in this direction.
Mobility
Logica is continuously working on improving its clients business and system processes. With the latest mobility tools, we are able to open new doors. SAP mobility previously focused on two major areas: warehouse and service/maintenance processes. The playing field is now truly open to real Enterprise Mobility: there is simplified access to every corporate process. We continue to see outstanding business cases where mobility enables shortened and efficient workflows, reductions on inbound stock, increases in throughput and right-first-time procedures, elimination of errors, increased data quality, less double entry and so on.
Each client has a different set of needs. We understand this and tailor our approach to Enterprise Mobility. Some want to test the waters on select business cases and then evaluate, while others just want to implement the new SAP tools and test the technical capabilities. We do however engage with an increasing number of clients that are beyond these initial steps and wish to implement a future proof and dynamic Enterprise Mobility Strategy for the whole enterprise. Our mobility experience and methodology create true value in this effort.
