Our client is a UK government agency and manages 6 million applications from the public every year. Over 5,000 of these applications are investigated as potentially fraudulent. Due to increasing volumes of applications and growing risk of false applications aiding organised crime and terrorism, our client required a solution that would help protect against attempted and actual fraud as well as support information sharing across seven geographic regions.

Our Solution
Logica was commissioned to deliver a solution for:

  • Case management to record, progress, track and retrieve cases.
  • Intelligence analysis to support improved reporting & statistical analysis by anti-fraud and management personnel including support for intelligence gathering and analysis.

The Result
The solution has standardised operating practices across the 7 operating regions leading to improved efficiencies and greater assurance. Fraud case information is now readily available across regions, strengthening the management and prevention of fraud.
