Logica helps Dutch Social Security Institute better its service to the unemployed
The Dutch Social Security Institute UWV is increasing its service to the unemployed with a renewed and improved IT system from Logica, a leading business and technology service company. The system will help the institute lower costs and limit system malfunctions and errors. People looking for jobs will now benefit from an improved service from the institute’s job coaches and staff. The 7 year outsourcing contract is worth € 18 million.
Logica will be responsible for maintenance of the Sonar system which is crucial to enabling the service delivered to the unemployed. The maintenance will cover a range of applications used by UWV Werkbedrijf, the organisation responsible for matching the needs of potential employers with those looking for a job. With Logica, UWV will further its ambition to simplify and increase the control of its IT systems while lowering costs. Good performance of its information systems is critical for UWV to perform its tasks and deliver services to the public.
