E-laad.nl
E-laad.nl is a group of eight Dutch electricity companies who got together to break that cycle.
Together, they planned to create a national network of 10,000 charging points for electric vehicles
across the whole of the Netherlands. And they asked us to help.
The Challenge
A national network of charging points had never been done before. So it was difficult to pin down all of the details in advance.
Many different kinds of organisations had to work closely together to make things happen on the
ground. Electricity companies, IT companies, charge point manufacturers, car manufactures and local authorities. All with their own priorities, systems and processes.
Our Answer
We worked closely with E-laad.nl and Alfen (who make charge points) to develop the end-to-end Charge point Interactive Management System. Or CiMS, for short. The beauty of CiMS is that it works with any brand of charging point. And it’s also compatible with each of the partners’ own systems. One for all, all for one.
