Independent analyst firm recognises Logica as a leader in sustainable technology services
Climate change and energy market trends help Logica deliver innovative solutions and internal cost cutting sustainability measures
Logica, one of the world’s leading business and technology service companies today announced it has been placed in the leaders’ quadrant of the Verdantix Green Quadrant Technology Services 2012 report. Logica was named along with three other companies as offering the most integrated and holistic set of sustainability services to buyers. Logica was recognised in the report for being a leader due to the delivery of a wide collection of innovative, joined up solutions and internal cost cutting sustainability measures.
The report provides a detailed, fact-based comparison of 17 of the leading sustainable technology service providers globally, including Accenture, Atos, Capgemini, CSC, Deloitte, Fujitsu, HCL Technologies, HP, IBM, Infosys, Logica, Mahindra Satyam, Orange, Steria and TCS. Inclusion in the study required annual revenues of more than $1 billion, an established capability in sustainable technology services and operations in at least 15 counties.
Verdantix’s analysis is based on in-depth interviews with 15 buyers representing firms with combined revenues of $331 billion as well as supplier responses to a 52 point questionnaire and detailed supplier interviews.
The report highlights that Logica and the other leaders’ quadrant companies are the only technology consultants who have experience of deploying technology platforms for enterprise-scale energy and sustainability initiatives. Verdantix concludes that the four suppliers in the leaders’ quadrant offer the widest and deepest set of capabilities and can provide the most integrated and holistic set of sustainability services to buyers.
The report also recognises Logica’s pre-built renewable energy management system that facilitates integration of wind energy to the grid. Logica is one of only four firms awarded the top score for its carbon management programme, which helped the firm to close large project wins such as the implementation of the SIRA sustainability reporting tool for the UK Ministry of Defence. Logica was also rated as “best in class” for its energy and carbon management, low carbon transport and smart metering services.
