Logica recognised in the Global 100 Worlds Most Sustainable Companies

26 January 2012

Logica, a leading business and technology company has been selected for inclusion in the Global 100 list of the world’s most sustainable companies. In the 2012 report based on analysis of 3,500 listed companies Logica was placed 46th, an improvement of 39 places on its 2011 ranking.

The Global 100 is an extensive data-driven corporate sustainability assessment and inclusion is limited to a select group of the top 100 large-cap companies in the world. Companies are selected based on their performance against 11 indicators covering environmental performance and corporate citizenship such as leadership diversity, greenhouse gas emissions and payment of corporate taxes.

Andy Green, CEO of Logica said, “Like all organisations, we're on a journey to ensure we are the most sustainable business we can be, but the significant improvement in our ranking in the Global 100 Most Sustainable Companies is an important milestone for us. Ethics and the environment are at the heart of our business and we firmly believe that only truly sustainable businesses will prosper in a time when public opinion and trust in business is at a low."

The purpose of the Global 100 is to reinforce, raise awareness and highlight, annually, the world’s leaders in clean capitalism, laying out the global firms most willing and able to deal with the key social and environmental factors they face in their everyday operations. Analysis for the Global 100 was based on the work of four sustainability research providers: Corporate Knights, Global Currents, Inflection Point Capital Management and Phoenix Global ADVISORS LLC (Phoenix). The full report and methodology are available from Global 100.
