Richard Davies, Director of Asia Pacific for Logica’s Global Products Business, is responsible for business development in the region and support of local clients in their payments modernisation initiatives.

Based in Singapore, Richard extensively travels the APAC region, continuously supporting his clients - helping them to go further. He has enjoyed working with key players within the region, such as Westpac and ANZ. By providing these businesses with the most advanced payments system in the world, he has helped them reap real benefits from their payments businesses.

ANZ wanted to set up a centralised hub to deliver low-value payments. Following Richard’s recommendation, they decided to implement the Logica All Payments Solution (LAPS)., They now enjoy increased automation levels,, more streamlined payments processes and reduced operational costs.

Westpac, another major banking player in the region, was also looking to streamline their payments business in order to meet increasing regulations and the SBI initiative. “We chose Logica because of its payments industry knowledge and understanding of the local environment in the wider APAC region” Greg Byrne, Head of Business Products and Strategy, Westpac New Zealand.

Prior to this role, Richard served as Logica's Director of Global Payments, based in London. He provided support, strategy and expertise to clients across the world such as Standard Bank of South Africa and Deutsche Bank.

Richard brings more than 25 years of payments industry experience, having also worked in several management roles at MPCT, American Express and Thomas Cook Group.
