Asset Management

The Oil and Gas industry is one of the most asset-intensive in the world. At all points of the supply chain, managers need to be aware of the integrity, availability and location of their assets in order to maximise productivity, reduce downtime and operate safely.

Effective asset management makes it possible to keep track of everything from transport systems to pipelines, plants, maintenance depots and mobile teams. With the right information, you can ensure they are all doing their jobs as perfectly as possible.

This is something we specialise in (in fact we were the first non-practitioner patron of the Institute of Asset Management). In the Oil and Gas sector, we use it to help our clients manage complex networks of critical assets covering more than 20 countries in five continents.

Our combination of information management methodologies and a long understanding of asset-intensive industries helps you to get the best performance from your assets.

Real time information from your assets creates a dynamic, detailed picture of your operations. Mobile technologies mean that your maintenance workforce act as one coherent whole. The result: you get greater control over what’s happening, where and at what pace.

We approach asset management from three functional areas:

  • Proactive asset management – monitoring the condition of assets, such as secure Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems allows you to control operations remotely and in the field.
  • Geospatial information systems – we pinpoint and exploit the physical location of your assets and resources so you can manage them optimally, improve performance and save cost.
  • Workforce management – managing the activities of the people who build and maintain assets. We support your staff with relevant information, so they work more productively – in the office, depot or field. And we provide the information that supports continuing maintenance.
