Showcasing our Space expertise at SpaceOps 2012 (Stand C14-C15)

Whitepapers

  • New paradigms of Space. The economics of space and how we see the future unfolding in a market yet to reach its potential.
  • Space Sustainability Ledger. The observations contained here provide a crude if interesting analysis of how Space fits into a sustainable world.

Find out what we do in Space

  • Logica Space Overview. Space systems are becoming increasingly sophisticated and rely on software-based intelligence to ensure success.
  • Our European Space business. Across Europe, we have nine country centres with different areas of expertise to support our Space clients.
  • Our Space Story. We have been working in the industry for over 40 years and have been part of many of its significant milestones.
  • Helix Nebula - the Science Cloud. We're part of a consortium of leading IT providers and three of Europe’s biggest research centres (CERN, EMBL and ESA) that is launching a European cloud computing platform. ’Helix Nebula - the Science Cloud’ will support the massive IT requirements of European scientists, and become available to governmental organisations and the industry after an initial pilot phase.

Come and see some of our solutions

  • Hummingbird - A prototype open source control system monitoring the Logica rocket and ground station. There will be a live video link with the ground station and the rocket will be on display at the stand. Live telemetry will be decoded and displayed by a prototype Hummingbird GUI. The ground station will accept positioning commands in real-time.
  • Conjunction Analysis - A prototype for detecting, visualising and analysing conjunctions between objects from a catalogue of 15,000 objects. A novel filtering algorithm accelerates the identification of pairs by more than one order of magnitude with respect to existing methods, while an appealing web based interface assures increased ergonomics and accessibility.
  • Fox Automation–FOX is an automation and scheduling system for satellite operations such as loading and sending command stacks and receiving telemetry and status parameters. Procedures are implemented in a special automation language containing regular programming language features such as variables and operators. Additional statements such as ‘monitor’ and ‘verify’ are used to simplify control on the flow of the procedure. FOX can interface with external systems such as Ground Network Interface (GNI) and Satellite Control System (SCS) SCOS-2000.
  • MKMF - The Sentinels Master Key Management Facility is a lightweight, cost-effective and secure tool to generate and store symmetric cryptographic keys. It features easy generation, secure storage and export of master and session keys, flexible key and metadata management, multi-mission support, secure backup and restore functions for mission-specific or full data, simple verification of system integrity and non-repudiation.
