Joining up Justice
Working together to join up the criminal justice system
The UK’s constitutional approach, with its clear separation of the government’s executive branch, judiciary and law enforcement agencies, means that the different organisations involved in the delivery of justice have to find creative ways to work together. The additional need for more efficient and effective practices within each organisation has resulted in the Joining up Justice programme.
For the programme to succeed, it needs to:
- get the best out of public spending on the justice system by introducing clear business strategies, IT that supports organisational change and efficiencies from better work processes
- recognise the varying rates of change across different organisations and the need to ensure that well-managed change takes place at all levels.
Our customers in the criminal justice sector include:
- Crown Prosecution Service
- Ministry of Justice
- National Policing Improvement Agency
- Serious Organised Crime Agency
- UK police forces
- Criminal Records Bureau and the Independent Safeguarding Authority
- Scottish Law Commission
