In this video, Peder Jest, Chief Medical Officer, Odense University Hospital (OUH) explains the importance of IT in healthcare. He explains how OUH worked together with Logica to implement a total IT solution in the huge hospital with over 10,000 employees and 65 clinical departments. Logica’s Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system formed the foundation of their business solutions and OUH is working together with Logica to achieve a shared care model for patients. The next step is to integrate telemedicine and mobile health solutions to EMR.

OUH has reached Stage 6 on the HIMMS EMR Adoption Model and has started its journey towards Stage 7.
