Logica, first to provide a private cloud for the public sector in Sweden, built on the Microsoft platform
Logica, Sweden's largest IT-provider strengthens its partnership with Microsoft by launching Sweden's first private cloud for the public sector. The Cloud solutions are based on Microsoft’s cloud platform and meet the Swedish Data Inspectorate's regulatory framework for cloud providers to the public sector.
Logica and Microsoft launched their partnership around cloud services in January this year and since then Logica has been able to offer solutions for an overall cloud architecture. Building on this success we are now launching these Public Sector cloud solutions for productivity and collaboration.
The partnership brings together Logica’s expertise in consulting and IT-services in their own Swedish data center with industry-specific solutions based on Microsoft infrastructure for private cloud: Hyper-V Cloud, Exchange Online, Sharepoint Online and Lync Online. This creates secure and reliable solutions which ensure that the data stays within Sweden's borders, is not shared with other clients, complies with Swedish law and regulations such as PUL, and that only the right person has access to information.
The partnership brings new opportunities for Swedish Public Sector clients, who will have access to the latest tools from Microsoft in the cloud. "The services will help our clients increase their productivity and reduce their costs, because they will pay per user per month" says Fredrik Ahlstedt, head of the public sector at Logica, Sweden.
