Customer Service and Billing

Operational efficiency and Flexibility: delivering efficiency and advantage through Customer Service & Billing (CS&B)

Regulatory change will produce a new world of opportunity for utilities. Policy developments will open up markets and increase competition. Customers will require new services and products, supported by affordable energy and accurate billing.

In this environment, there is an opportunity for utilities companies to transform their customer service and billing operations to deliver strong revenues and margin. Logica helps utilities in public and private sectors make this transformation by increasing operational efficiency in the short-term and flexibility to meet future change.

Across hundreds of such projects, we help large utilities reduce costs and maximise existing investments. At the same time we help deliver flexible infrastructure in terms of systems and services that meet the requirements of the market, regulators and consumers.

For smaller utilities, such as those in the Nordics, we provide replicable, platform-based CS&B solutions and co-investment across the region to nearly 140 organisations.

Through our work with third party vendors Logica has created solutions for specific challenges. For example, our Mass Data Billing solution helps SAP ISU clients such as Swb in Germany move to more complex, converged billing.

Elsewhere our partnerships help clients meet the changing demands of the market. Logica works with Ferranti to help clients like DONG Energy in Denmark to comply with local market regulation requirements through the use of MECOMS products from Microsoft.

Recently, Logica BPO services helped the multi-utility company TRE-FOR increasing billing quality and customer satisfaction, with a large reduction on costs

We understand the changing world of energy and utilities and help our clients seize the opportunity – now and in the future.
